Anderson Composites Congratulates Ultimate Street Car Association Winners

City of Industry, CA (March 26, 2018) – Anderson Composites congratulates the winners of Optima’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car Challenge at the Las Vegas Speedway on March 17-18. This was the first of eight events organized by the Ultimate Street Car Association for 2018. The two-day event featured five segments for the 79 drivers to earn points within their class. Day one consisted of a road rally, design and engineering evaluation and autocross. Day two included a 2-mile road course and a speed stop challenge.

The top drivers in the GT class consisted of Eric Sheely, Mike Maier, John Grow and Paul Molina. All four utilize Anderson Composites carbon fiber components for their late model Camaro or Mustang. Eric Sheely drove his 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE for the first place win and 8th overall for the weekend. Mike Maier took second place in his 2017 Ford Mustang GT and 17th overall in points. Notable mention to Jonathan Blevins of Chicane 23, who drove a 2015 Mustang to finish 8th in the GT class while his second Mustang Shelby GT-500 was getting fitted with Anderson Composites doors and trunk lid. Adding carbon fiber components reduces a cars weight and also helps increase points for the design and engineering evaluation segment.

Jordan Priestley of JDP Motorsports finished second in his GTS class and took 4th place overall in points for the weekend. Jordan drives a 2017 Chevrolet C7 Z06 Corvette featuring an Anderson Composites carbon fiber hood along with other body components. JDP prepped Eric Sheely’s 2018 Camaro and John Grow’s 2014 Camaro and the results speak for themselves. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on these drivers throughout the season, congratulations guys!
